Tuesday

Hetty and I thought the rain had passed so stepped out for a walk with confidence!

We were caught in a deluge as we walked up the flight.

This afternoon has been spent with Jo B. She brought more marsh marigolds for the pools in the cutting.

Clive carried the bucket down for us and then dug up some ferns for the woodland patch Jo is creating.

I gave Jo a tour. She's interested. I have worked so hard and am doing my best without Tim. It was good to have someone appreciating my efforts.

We then went to her garden. It is vast and wild and beautiful. She's had no help since Roger died so the garden had gone a bit mad but it is gorgeous.

The house is large and a bit mad too. Too big for one woman (& two dogs) but she doesn't want to give it up yet.

The afternoon has got very muggy.

(We've been planning our next road trip to Belfast. We've booked a cottage on the coast and we've booked the ferries. Florence will fly in and join us for a few nights. I know I've only just seen them but I'm excited to see H&R again.)
