Bodnant gardens

Didn’t get a great nights sleep so up a bit early to get ready for the drive into Wales. Headed over to Bodnant gardens, as it’s a National Trust place all dogs have to be on a short lead for Darwin. Had a bit of fun on the way when Waze decided to take us on a short cut over the hills along the tight country lanes for us to meet some big fuel tankers in some of the very narrow parts, resulting in narrow lane reversing and tight passing places. Arrived in time for our 2.30pm slot and it was busy with loads of dogs. Seems the place is famous for the Laburnum arch, see extra, which is in flower at the moment hence the time slots to limit numbers. The arch was very pretty and the rest of the gardens were nice as well. Darwin was good with all the dogs but wanted to go into the ponds as usual. Managed to find the campsite and for once we lucked into the best pitch for us as there was no one else next to us and a fantastic view of the coast.
