Anderson College - Dumbarton Road

Italianate building designed by architects James Sellars and latterly by John Keppie after Sellars died. The new home for Anderson's College Medical School the building opened in 1899. The building is adorned by several fine sculptures by the sculptor James Pittendrigh Macgillivray (1856-1938). In 1947 the school became part of Glasgow University who still own and run the building to this day. The building underwent an extensive refurbishment in the 1990s. It has been used as an 'International College' since 2007 by Glasgow University.
