Foxgloves and navelwort

Very windy, but at least it stayed dry till this evening.  We have been quite busy.

I cleared another 5 large trugs of assorted weedage (bracken, ivy, nettles, brambles) from the roadside of the ditch.  It's looking much better.  Resolved to not let it get into such a state next year, but if the weather is contrary, it isn't necessarily so easy to keep these resolutions. 

W planted large numbers of sunflowers.

I changed the beds, washed, dried on the line, ironed and the clean bedding is back in the press!

And after dinner of roast veggies and halloumi, we made a batch of pikelets.  Now I'm ready for bed, W is setting bread to bake overnight.
