Salvaged

Some of yesterday’s garden tidying resulted in some roses being brought into the house. Just one bloom and lots of buds but they are flowering today. It is the very lovely Claire Austin rose that covers the wall virtually the whole width of the garden. No real scent but the colours and layers are beautiful.

Day One of Term Six was busier than it was meant to be on paper but it was survived. More doing than teaching but not that much from my own list. I am sure things will settle as the week goes on. Just three lessons left with Y11 before their last English exam on Friday. They have worked hard this year and I will miss them. Home to Bailey via the supermarket, tea and a walk to capitalise on dry weather before the forecast change.
