One daze at a time...

Accuweather

Met Eireann were bang on. They had predicted that it would start pissing rain from 3.00pm.
And at 3.00pm on the dot is started bucketing down.
Come to think of it, they may have used a slightly more meteorologically accurate expression like heavy precipitation. But what they really meant was pissing rain.

As the weather was relentlessly awful for the rest of the afternoon and evening, Nana and I watched the Beasts (As Bestas). A tense thriller it was. So tense that Nana said she had a cold feeling of unease in the pit of her stomach. I reminded that we had wrapped ourselves in cosy blankets prior to starting the film, as one does on a miserable Irish summer afternoon. But she reckons that it's the film that did it.
I really enjoyed it. A gritty, tense Galician Manon des Sources it was. The photography was great and the acting very convincing.
