MONO MONDAY - UNUSUAL ANGLE
First of all, I must thank you all for your wonderful comments yesterday on my Sunday Collage and apologise that I did not comment back, but there is a good reason.
I did “get myself into gear” and duly sorted out the allergen labels, but it was a much bigger job than I realised and it took me from 4 o’clock until 10.15, with a 10 minutes break for a quick snack at about 8 o’clock. In fact, we didn’t even get to watch the programme “Our Man in Vietnam” but thankfully, it will have recorded, so when I have nothing to do (Ha ha ha ha!) we can sit and watch the two programmes and flick through the advertisements, which is always a bonus! By 10.30 I was almost asleep in the chair, so went to bed - without doing any commenting, so please forgive me - but I did do a very important job and it was appreciated by those who use the labels, when I took them to the Community Fridge this morning.
Today, Mr. HCB kindly took me over to the Community Fridge to drop the labels off so I took the opportunity to photocopy labels that were needed and then after chatting to some of the customers and others there, left at about midday. Instead of calling Mr. HCB to collect me, I walked to B & M - a large discount retail store near the Church - in fact, too large for me - and I actually walked out, not having bought anything- which Mr. HCB thinks is a miracle in itself!
As I walked, I saw the large McDonald’s next door - which is open 24/7 - so I guess they must do some trade during the night, or they wouldn’t stay open! However, I didn't buy a Big Mac or anything else here either.
The sky was looking a bit threatening, so I thought that a skew-whiff shot of the sign with the menacing-looking clouds would do for Mono Monday, as I did take it from an unusual angle. I must admit, I did get a few strange looks from people, but I’m at the age where I don’t worry about that anymore!
Hope you are all having a good Monday - according to Mr. HCB it is supposed to rain tomorrow, and we are not unhappy about that - in fact, our garden does need some more rain. I will try and get round to commenting tonight. M xx
