Vapor
For the last day of summer play scheme, we had two music sessions. One was with a duo called Vapor, from Gloucester. They sang a range of songs; starting with "Ain't no Sunshine ...." by Bill Withers. I believe they also sing gospel numbers.
They were fabulous! I couldn't stay long, unfortunately, as I had to leave in order to go to teach at the rehab. I'd been away from there for three weeks, so had acquired a new set of students, who were as enthusiastic as border collie pups! There is so much ground to cover in the first session, and so little time, so much impatience to get going!
Then we came home, and cracked open CleanSteve's birthday fruitcake early, seeing as we are going camping next week. It was pronounced successful, which is just as well. I think I have eaten more cake this week than ever before; something to do with playscheme, perhaps...
Later, I went up to the loft, where it was around 100 degrees, and began fetching down the camping gear. There seems to be an awful lot of it.
The GOOD news is that I am FREE now for a whole week! No more teaching or anything until next Friday. And just so I don't get enticed into any last minute massages, I am leaving! Yay yay yay, and the weather is apparently going to be hot and sunny. That's from Monday. Tomorrow may well be horrendous, with gale force winds, but we leave on Sunday, to spend two nights with friends before we go feral.
