Stictoleptura rubra

This Longhorn beetle was a Red Data List species in the "Red Data Book of Insects according to pre-1994 IUCN criteria" from 1987 until it was removed from the list in 1992, meaning that it was a rare species in the UK but has since recovered somewhat.

I found this chap (Stictoleptura rubra, aka Leptura rubra)on an umbellifer in the field behind my house today, and will report it to the Lincolnshire Recorder as it is still an unusual find.
