Clematis
This morning we invited my mother's old neighbours in for coffee and a catch up. They are sad to hear how she's deteriorated, especially as W used to phone her for a chat every week or two. ( It was probably always the same conversation because Doris, my mother's, memory had become so poor, but they both enjoyed it!).
We did a bit of tidying up of the garden and I photographed this Clematis which seemed to be doing better than usual.
After lunch we drove home.
This evening I had a call from the care home to say Doris seemed to have developed a painful infection in a hand during the day and had a raised temperature. She had been given some antibiotics and increased pain relief.. We went to see her, by when she was peaceful and fast asleep, but looking weak. I'll return in the morning but I don't think she'll be much better.
