Performance day

Took Phin round the stream before making sausage butties for breakfast. Our son and his wife were meeting a friend for coffee so headed off just after 10 which gave me time to get showered and performance ready.

Mr PHL gave us a lift into the Usher hall and we had time to pick up a coffee before heading in to be organised into our harmony parts and be taken to our dressing rooms. We had a couple of practises walking on and off the stage before a sound check. I ended up in the final top row of the choir stalls and can just about see myself in the videos people have been sharing post the performance.

We had an hour free which gave us time to eat a late lunch and put the finishing touches to our hair and make up before showtime.

The performance was magical, the audience was very enthusiastic and supportive and our wonderful choir leader Elaine seemed pleased with the way things went.
She’s been a part of Rock choir since it began 15 years ago so it was very fitting that she was gifted a framed gold disc of the first song she taught - Oh happy day.

The day had started with sunshine but finished with a heavy shower but luckily had mostly stopped when we got off the bus near home. Loved the double rainbow.

Apologies for late posting of the TinyTuesday results. I was on too much of a high to settle to post my blip. Backblipped Sunday.
