HOPE
I got up early as I was expecting an Amazon delivery . As one of the items was a garden saw the parcel couldn't be left in my safe place but had to be handed to me personally. It was originally scheduled to come on Friday but I had to change the day as I was at the seaside for a blipmeet. on Friday . The Amazon delivery driver arrived around 4pm.
As the weather was warm and sunny I decided to get out into the back garden and take the saw into use. I still had some bits of lilac tree and another large shrub to cut into smaller bits which would fit inside my green bin, I managed to cut most of it up and fit it in the bin.... which is now full There was a large bit of trunk that I couldn't cut so I put that in the back lane.. I tucked it into the hedgerow of the nearest allotment. Job done. I also watered a few pots in the back garden which were looking dry.
Another thing I had put off from Friday was to go online and get a ticket for The Saw Doctors performance at the City Hall in Newcastle in December. I was supposed to do it on Friday evening but I forgot. And I forgot yesterday too. So by the time I got on the website today all the " good " seats had gone. But I did manage to get an OK seat. As long as I'm there I will be happy.
I had a bit of a disaster yesterday. I didn't mention it in my blip as I was sad about it... and I blamed myself for what happened. I had collected an Evri parcel from Tesco - something I had bought on Vinted. it was the last thing I got so I put it in my shopping trolley on top of the rest of my shopping. The trolley was full. Got home to find the parcel was missing... it must have dropped out. So I went back out and retraced my steps along the back lane, past The Glebe recreation ground and down to Tesco. Nothing. Came home and felt upset. I went on the village Facebook page asking if anyone had found the parcel but got no response. I thought that was it. It was gone forever.
However.... this afternoon the doorbell rang... I thought it was Amazon.... but it was my next door neighbour Debbie. In her hand was my parcel. I immediately thought she had found it.... but she hadn't - apparently a gentleman had found it near The Glebe and he had brought it to my house.... but couldn't get an answer ( no idea why ) so he had knocked at Debbie's door and left the parcel with her. She didn't get his name and address so I can't thank him. I was so pleased to get my parcel.... and Ive blipped what was inside.
Its another Annalee doll to add to my collection. This one is special . Shes a Hope Bear with a pink breast cancer ribbon to show support for breast cancer awareness. She was made in 2002. I'm so glad that I got her in the end.
