A walk in the park

It was a walk in the Northumberland National Park. Here is John our excellent leader for the day.

We should have been 7 walkers plus leader and back marker, but a family of 4 failed to show up.

It was very blustery and the rain came in showers throughout the 5 mile circular from Housesteads Roman Fort. The views in this central section are stunning.

Behind John you can just see Crag Lough and the Highshield Crags behind it.

I’m looking forward to the next walk.
