Frjentsjer (Franeker)...

Day 5 of our 2025-trip to Fryslân, one of the Dutch provinces in the north of the Netherlands.
Today we visited Frjentsjer (Franeker), one of the eleven cities in Fryslân with one of the "11-cities fountains" 'the Oort Cloud', an ode to the world famous astronomer Jan Hendrik Oort, who was born in Frjentsjer. We have now seen all 11 fountains.
We saw a lot of nice old buildings, one of them the very beautiful old city hall.
And we visited the oldest still working planetarium, made end 18th century and still working accurate ... @ Frjentsjer (Franeker), the Netherlands
