Challenging
The forecast on the BBC app was for a shower or two between 3 and 4 pm, so why was it raining at 10 am? Fortunately it didn’t last and we set off down to Portreath for a walk towards Godrevy on the coast path. When I say towards Godrevy, I didn’t mean all the way.
I struggled up the steps from Portreath to the top of the cliff (I really should have done lunges and squats before we came away) but made it up with a bit of help from the old chap.
It wasn’t a pleasant walk because it was blowing a gale and I struggled to keep upright in places but we made it to Bassett’s Cove and then turned inland to Tehidy Woods.
A total of six miles, lunch in a hollow, two plasters on bunions, two cups of tea at the cafe and back to base.
Lots of extras. Meadow Pipit, Wren, Rook, Dunnock, Squirrel, Sleeping Swan.
