At last, some progress
I have previously mentioned the disruption caused by the extensive building of new sea defences in Aberaeron, which have been going on for the last 18 months. Well, today there was some daylight at the end of the long tunnel with the barriers removed from picturesque Quay Street and the opportunity to take a good look at the new half glass harbour wall. Despite being a Sunday, workers were busy power hosing and cleaning the new stone work. It actually looks very nice, and it would be even better when they open up to pedestrians the seaward side of the walkway.
We’re going back to Cardiff today but hopefully the next time we’re down there will be further signs of a return to normal.
