A quiet day

Amber was exhausted after her walk yesterday and has lounged about apathetically, a bit like me.

The weather has been variable, a bit like the sky in this picture.

We had a little bit of excitement last night when we saw a couple of magpies having a go at a furry creature, it then turned the tables on them. A couple of hours later I could see that the creature was back. I went out to investigate and was surprised to find a brown rat which was unconcerned by my presence and carried on chomping. Eventually it scurried away up the road and not over the field as expected.
