Ramblings and Mutterings

Wedding of the Year!

The big day arrived. My young padawan was getting married today.

I had a quiet morning before we headed off to the venue. The breakfast this morning was the best I've ever had at a Premier Inn. Flavoursome sausages and delicious crispy bacon, not this anemic nonsense you see.

We headed off to the venue, the amazing Hodstock Priory, you can see it in the extras. The butterflies were jangling.

The ceremony was wonderful, you could see how much Steph and Jack mean to each other when she walked in and he saw her wedding dress for the first time. I got emotional as they exchanged their vows.

A break then before the dinner and speeches. Oh my God, the speeches were so emotional. Jack bared his soul as he talked about the love for his family and Steph. It's clear their love and passion is strong, they are the ultimate soulmates.

Another break before the party could begin. I had a dance with the beautiful bride. I talked to quite a few people, including Jack and the maid of honour, both were telling me how much I mean to my young padawan.

As it was a special occasion I broke my non-alcohol rule to celebrate with my young padawan. I had a few whiskys and was introduced to a Baby Guinness, I may have had double figures of them.  I felt totally fine.

It came to 1am and we said goodbye to the bride and groom before they head off for their honeymoon in Tanzania. I got great big hugs from my young padawan, it meant a lot for the both of us. I'm so chuffed for her and she just had a perfect day.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  Celebrating the marriage of my young padawan
2.  Great big hugs at the end of the day
