Garden Benefit
I spent the afternoon in my neighbour’s garden trimming my large shrub separating our gardens. His garden is now full of trimmings, but he generously waived his legal right to lob them over the boundary into my garden! A few did manage to find their way into mine and I think both our garden green bins will be filled when they go out for collection later in the week.
I spotted this spiky insect on a leaf; it’s the larvae of a ladybird which is a great find. Though it’s a pity ladybirds don’t eat snails and slugs which despite the dry conditions have already been busy around the veggie trough:-(
