Decisions
Lovely day.
Peter made record time from Brockenhurst , arriving before 11, so we had coffee and chatted before heading to Hythe for lunch. We both struggle with what to buy each other for birthdays ( we cancelled Christmas presents a couple of years ago) and this year he gave me a voucher for The Waterfront with the promise that he’d come down to go with me. So, I did the same for him and today was the day! I meant to do the trendy thing and take a photo of my food, but forgot with both courses. It was delicious and you’ll have to take my word for it.
A friend of Peter’s lives in Hythe and joined us for a drink afterwards. I’d not seen Ian in over 30 years, but recognised him immediately and we all chatted for well over an hour.
I think we should do this again for birthdays, although feel a bit guilty that he has to come to me because I just can’t take Dog that far and leave him in a strange house while we go out. Peter can come, but only because Michaele stays home to look after their dog. I don’t think I’ve seen her since the funeral, thank goodness for FaceTime!
