Another day spent in the cellar...
... but the job is basically finished and the shelves seem secure and strong. Tomorrow I'll be putting stuff back, and placing the newly brewed beer into the cool cellar. (That's the "quick" job that started this saga.)
It was sunny today and the strong breeze that blew all day was warm. That meant I could work with all the doors open and a breeze moving air through the cellar. A much more pleasant working environment. I could also do some of the jobs, sawing wood for example, outside in the sun. That gave my lungs a rest from the dust, damp and mould. I do find jobs like this - a mixture of hard physical work and problem solving - fun and fascinating.
I felt another picture of the cellar may be pushing things a little so here's a picture of one of our posh tulips. They are quite spectacular but the flower can break off in a wind, which is what happened here.
Personally I like the picture as much for the shadow as for the bloom!
