I bet not many people know Carlisle has its own stone circle.  Ok so it's a modern stone circle.  We were in Rickerby Park and these stones were erected in 2011 to show the diversity of rocks which occur in the valley of the River Eden.  It consists of six upright stones engraved with information and a flat one in the middle which Tess is posing on, all donated by different quarry companies.  I must go there more often as it's a great place to walk dogs, it's like a huge meadow so lots of room for dogs to chase each other which of course Tess did once or twice.    As usual better viewed in Large.
