Ragley balloons
We’ve been up since 4 AM. The weather was perfect for ballooning this morning. The actual flight went off about 6 am. There’s a lot of faff! We were in the retrieval team as LooseCanon’s brother and nephew did the actual flying. Bottom left in collage. Retrieval is tricky because you have a sketchy idea of which direction they’ve gone but you have no idea when it will land or where. It went well eventually. We sussed out where they would be and followed them into a farmer’s field. We were back at base for breakfast by about 8 am.
Some of the colourful balloons in the collage and another collage of the Red Arrows, who performed again.
The main photo is of Ragley Hall, stately home of Lord Hertford, descendants of Jane Seymour, one of Henry 8s wives.
Their huge house and enormous grounds are a good venue for this event.
