Morning reading
I spent a really lovely, solitary, hour early this morning reading this, down on the rocky beach. To my delight, the beach was super peaceful and quiet.
Back home for a quick shower before going to meet Todd, and then straight to meet a social worker about a plan to support one of the homeless ladies. The social worker was kind, gave me suggestions of place who work exclusively with women on the streets - they're new to the island and have an office on our old street! After that meeting I went to see said lady. I bent over backwards to try and keep her calm. She spirals into aggression very easily, one of the reasons I feel unsafe around her.
This afternoon I had a good zoom with the Heasleys, catching up on various things from life here.
Tonight Marco Longhair arrived, a flying last minute visit from Sardinia, so a quick wash of bedding etc... And a dinner put together. So so great to see him.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) An hour alone enjoying the sound of the waves. I must do this more.
2) Meeting Maite and feeling reassured by her that it's OK to pull back from this relationship with the lady.
3) A evening of chat and loveliness before Danny and Marco headed out to meet another friend.
