The first wren (seen) this year

I've heard one singing but haven't gotten more than a glimpse. Today he and his mate were flying intended around the trees for about 10 minutes, then he lit on the top of the neighbor's apple tree and sang . I thought that they had been replaced by the Carolina wrens this year because they were the only ones singing for the last week. They seem to have a nest in the spruce tree or in my neighbor's yard. ( Though one  Carolina was having a great time taking a shower in the rain on a deck chair , then a bath in the puddles on the deck . That was the first Carolina wren I've seen in a couple of years , though they can be heard singing  in the neighborhood too. )
