St Mary Woolnoth

This church is in the heart of the city not far from the Bank of England.
I’m not a huge fan of visiting old churches but this’s one has an interesting history. It is the church where John Newton was a pastor.
He was a slave trader who became a Christian, turned his back on the slave trade and was part of the fight to abolish it.
Reflecting on his life and salvation through faith in Jesus, he penned one of the most recognisable hymns there is - Amazing Grace.
You can see the pulpit on the left where he preached the Good News of Jesus for many years.

Visited here after taking our HK teen up the Sky Garden for breakfast.
