Not going to plan

I had a very slow start to the day. Partly the late night with the piano lessons the night before, for there was much to discuss (A Levels, GCSEs, future plans,) as well as piano matters. Also the Big Conversation on Tuesday left me with much to ponder as well as relief I was only changing location for those conversations, not the person.

I decided to walk the forty minutes or so to the Sainsbury's rather than my usual nearest supermarket as there are some items I can get there more easily. But, unusually, a sit down half way was necessary and my favourite log bench was unoccupied. A quarter of the length of the log is cut out to make a footrest, leaving 3/4 of the log as a bench.

I spent most of the 20 minutes or so I sat there being glared at by three older primary school age young souls who were scooting/cycling up and down that particular path, then every few laps stopped to lean against the information board to stare at me. I was clearly on their preferred bench. They weren't to know I was immune to the glares and stares other than noting them.

The buses were not co-operating well on the way home, affected by the usual half-term break chaos with roadworks. But, I had potatoes in my backpack as whilst it does not look that steep in the photo, that is a hill I'm not up for walking up these days with a load of shopping.

I failed to make it to an Ascension Day service. I had been intending to join with the choir at our informal group of churches joint service, had practised all the music, and had my bag packed ready to go.

But, the same wave of utter weariness which had washed over me both early morning then again on the way to Sainsbury's hit with force again and I accepted I would be better off staying home.

Finally, there was a tech fail with the last Libre 2. So, I've launched into the Libre 2+ a fortnight sooner than intended. Failure reported (looked like a small break in the filament) and hopefully a replacement will be forthcoming.
