On This Day

No Mow May

Well, no mow most months actually. The front garden wildflower 'meadow/lawn' at the end of May. A bit heavy on the yellow and orange but there is clover here, both white and pink, and purple vetch coming soon. There's one ox-eye daisy but it'll be joined by others I'm sure. And it's full of bees, moths and other insects.

Thanks Miranda for the wildflower challenge and BikerBear for Flower Friday.

I still have mushroom compost to shift but I was so tired last night I couldn't string a sentence together never mind do more physical work. Today perhaps. I have lots now stashed away for autumn.

A day with not too much on the agenda. Quite welcome I have to say. It's happy birthday to one of my best pals but I won't chat to her till tomorrow.

First though I need to call in at the local day centre to collect my geranium plants which have been nurtured there and are now ready for my window boxes. Red geraniums in window boxes always remind me of holidays in France. A very pleasant thought!
