Gender Stories at the Museum

These wonderful happy faces were the tonic I needed. Sadly, on the early morning dog walk, I found a young man hanging from a tree - assuming suicide- in our local woods. So sad.

The exhibition, which will go national later in the year, has already had a large number of complaints about the subject matter. I really don't understand why people are so offended, why people can't embrace our differences or at least accept them? Perhaps, if we treated each other with respect, if we had services that were readily available, then that young man may not have felt the need to take his own life. I do hope that the laughter seen above is just not a veneer, that they are genuinely happy with their lives. But after the events of the morning I have my doubts, I have no idea how I would feel being them, growing up in our country.

I will be spending the next three days in darkness, eating only sandwiches! I'm a photographer for a local  film festival at the IMAX cinema. Sorry I wont be able to respond to comments. Take care x
