Herbie Roberts Way
This morning I went to art and then to my class at the gym.
On the way back to the car, I passed Herbie Roberts Way which is a little alleyway that leads to a courtyard.
It was refurbished a few years ago and named after Herbie who is an unknown son of Oswestry.
He played football for the now merged Oswestry Town football club then for Arsenal then capped for England in 1931. Sadly he was killed in WWII. It’s good that he has at last been recognised for his achievements.
It’s a smart clock but a shame that it’s two hours slow.
