Unnecessary journey
I had a follow.on appointment from last November about my wrist. The lump hasn't grown any bigger but there are weeks when it's painful.
For some unknown reason I was referred.to a private hospital ( still as an NHS patient) in Lancaster 90 minute drive from home.
It was wet and windy this.mornjng so I set off in good time and arrived half an hour early.
I was called in and the first thing I was asked was why had I requested this appointment??? Er...I was sent the appointment by the hospital.
Anyway, some manipulation and he is convinced it is just a ganglion. He asked me what I'd like him to do which leads me to believe he doesnt think it's much to worry about although he decided to refer me for a scan.
I was only in there for 5 minutes.
I'd parked the car in the grounds of a hotel. Parking is free if you eat there. It was too early so I went for a walk around the park which is more an overgrown woodland but nice as it had stopped raining.
Back to the hotel and I ordered a bacon and chicken ciabatta with the nicest chips I've had for ages
There was a lot on the plate but I was surprisingly hungry.
Fuel for driving back through the city and home
