Prize Giving
What an afternoon. a 6.6 earthquake at 2.30. The house really shook and moved - it was frightening - We are about 26 km away from epicentre - not far at all - way to close.
Then aftershock after aftershock - some a big as 6.3 - not nice Cat did a runner for a while but is back. The Mistress moved her igloo with her electric blanket away from the TV just in case another biggie hits and the TV falls.
Then the Mistress went off to our Photography Club Prize Giving night. An excellent night with awards, and a wonderful speaker - Sally Mason. She enjoyed the night immensely but had a couple of good shakes while there, it's amazing how quiet the room goes in a shake.
The Mistress brought home a rather big haul - 3 cups and four certificates. The Cups were for 1st Black and White Print in Shot of the Year, Most Points Digital Images, and Member of the Year. And the 4th certificate was 2nd in Colour Print in Shot of the Year.
The Mistress says she's very humbled with the The Member of the Year award, and almost cried when they all sang Jolly Good Fellow afterwards. All the committee members do an enormous job, so she feels like everyone should have had that cup!
We're almost too scared to go to bed. The Mistress has lovingly put me in my padded cell bag. She said she couldn't bear if anything happened to me!
