Another Waterside Favourite

This time a beautiful wren with a supersized mayfly which it was taking to feed its chicks. I actually found the nest (didn't disturb it of course) it was so well hidden and so beautifully constructed.
I saw a kingfisher again, this time in bright sunshine, but no chance of a shot. 
This evening Val and I tried again to look for ouzels at Burbage. No real luck, although we were watching a kestrel hunting and as it dropped, a bird shot up to fend it off.
Was it a ring ouzel flying up to defend its nest??
Either way, an exciting natural interaction.
