Shirley takes off for Alicante.

For reasons unknown the Tomato seed which I sowed back in March progressed at snails pace after a normal germination, which left me no alternative but to buy 4 plants from the garden centre. They were 2 each of Shirley and Alicante and they have grown steadily putting on real growth spurts when the night temperatures were above 10C,  the latter slightly ahead of the former which is catching up fast. The first 2 trusses of each have set  so hopefully a good crop will result.
