Not just a rose...
another goodbye.
Spent an hour at No7 removing some bulbs and a couple of plants that I'd like to keep.
The well tended garden is looking lush and beautiful - I do hope the new owner appreciates it before any drastic measures are taken....
I sat a short while, trying to come to peace with saying goodbye and moving on. Difficult. It's where I was born...where we all grew up...where we all returned to and gathered, for any and almost every occasion. It's a watershed and it's hard.
In two or three weeks we will hand it all over to someone we have not met, and that's going to take a while to settle.
My brother would know the name of this climbing rose, it's just coming out and will smell devine, I do hope it's appreciated before it goes over.
Tomorrow I'll find out how my back feels about today!
