Freddie

After the obligatory coffee and an almond croissant for breakfast we had a wander along the lakeside path towards the statue of Freddie Mercury.  There are many statues of musicians and also other sculptures in the area.  The sculpture in extra 1 is La Grande Envolée from the 2019 Montreux Biennale and is by Isabelle Thiltgès.  Parts of the path are closed during the day as they prepare for the Jazz Festival.  The rest of the day was spent in Lausanne where we met Sandra (SandraSuisse).  We had a great time as she gave us a grand tour of the city centre.  Visited the cathedral (extra 2 shows the organ pipes) and a couple of great cafes.  Morning tea was in the cafe at the top of the steps in extra 3.  Thanks again for the faves etc on the recent pics.  Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting today's wideness.
