Taming The Jasmine
We've had a very productive and successful day today ....... gardening!
Mrsfb worked on the front, I concentrated on the back. I tidied up the roses and an errant clematis. My big job though was taming the jasmine.
When we had the garden done many years ago now we left the jasmine as it was, climbing up the garage wall. Last year one of the storms brought it down (on 24th November, it's in my journal!) but I managed to fix it back up again with the help of string tied to the drainpipe and gutter. I've meant for ages to do something a bit more professional and today was the day.
I managed to bodge up, nay skilfully construct, some trellis from an old bit I found down the side of the house. That was the most interesting bit. Fixing it to the wall was a challenge. I should have done it before the green bits, leaves I think they are called, appeared. And fixing the jasmine to the trellis was an even bigger challenge. But I got there. It will do for a first attempt anyway.
I managed to chip the water feature with the step ladder in the process, but it will recover!
I'm knackered now, but have camera club#2 this evening. It's a speaker night, so I may nod off when the lights go down.
