Something Doesn't Look Right!

There's been a lot of rain already this week, 34.8mm - with 26.4mm of that falling yesterday - it was overflowing the gutters at times. I wasn't expecting that from the forecast. The birds were out in force early this morning, searching for insects in unlikely places. I spotted these two on the bird feeder, I didn't realise that goldfinches could turn their head around so far! I also noticed that it's been ringed and I don't think I've seen the black lines on one's head before above it's beak. The juvenile on the right is, I think, a great tit fledgling. It was calling for food from it's parent and getting it, but it also had a go at getting at the sunflower hearts, but was confused by the squirrel proof cage. I've had another day of doing admin and watching the French Open - the games I watched were quite straight forward. I did some clearing in the garden to nearly fill my garden waste bin. I also had to collect a lot of moss that had come down off the roof and some that was collecting around the gutters.
