Over the Horizon

Sand and fog

My last day in Pismo with Jenn before moving through the central valley of California to meet another friend en route to Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada. The journey up the West Coast of America continues.

Spending this morning simply walking the beach. Sitting in the sand looking out on the sea and meditating on life as always. Making a point to compose myself before beginning the day. Funny, how it seems a curious sight to many passerby a person simply sitting, being, at rest. In this culture of constant action the sight of one stopped in the midst of such incessant commotion draws an intriguing gaze. Curious, maybe even envious. I hope so. Sometimes I just want to remind people. Slow down and just BRRReeeeAAATHHHEEeee...

When Jenn got home from work we spent the evening eating sandwiches and sipping on a bottle of local wine watching the sun sink over the horizon from her balcony. I miss her already and just wish we had more time, another week or two or three. I'm so glad I came though. Good impressions and as I'm about to find out a world away from where I'm going. California really has some diversity. Heading inland for the weekend before jumping back to the coast further north next week.

Follow along...I'm backblipping and way behind. More to come soon! Adventures in America continue and an epic weekend in Lake Tahoe await...for now though I've gotta close the day on the computer. I'm in San Francisco just for the day and so much awaits!
