It rained all day .
Did some tidying up when I got up and caught the bus to town. Bought some trainer socks (planned), and a new top (unplanned), and then went to Pierre Victoire to meet SR for lunch. It was his turn to pay so I felt somewhat obliged to choose from the cheaper set menu. The dishes I chose were very tasty though. We seemed to spend a long time talking about death and illness! I did try (several times) to move the conversation onto more cheery topics but he was having none of it!
Had intended to do some browsing when I left - shops and finding a blip - but it was bucketing down so I came straight home and drove to Dunelm to collect a new door mat which I ordered yesterday when I couldn’t find the one I wanted in the shop, and neither could the assistant I managed to find and ask for help!
Had a cup of tea and browsed Rightmove when I got home- am mildly tempted by a property I saw….
