Tuesday. I'm back at work this morning after 10 days away… never a great start to the day. The weather matched my mood nicely, with heavy rain and thick, dark clouds. The house is quiet: it’s half term for school people. Gubs has finished school completely now—he has three more exam papers to sit over the next 3 weeks, and then his A-levels are out of the way too. He’s been planning summer adventures overseas but hasn’t yet decided where he’s going. Monty’s back in the UK now and has gone straight up to Loughborough: he has some exams to sit for, and then he will have completed his psychology degree course. Things seem to have been going well in America, and he’s planning on returning straight after his exams until mid-July.

By afternoon, the weather had brightened up considerably. I fled home as fast as I could after work. Today’s photo is a little random, but there was something about the pattern of colours and tones that caught my eye here.
