The pier

featured quite a lot in today's activities

The day started a bit rainy and we feared the worst but after my coffee and cake at the Rocket Cafe it had brightened up. A wander round the town unearthed a King Penguin book I've been after for ages and some went up the church tower for a view of the town.

In the afternoon several people went to see the end of the pier show - reputedly the last in Britain. I stayed home and peeled veg for Gareth's supper. When the end of the pier people got back from the show we surged out to enjoy the last of the sunshine by the seaside. The gulls were enjoying it too.
