We've Been Together Now
There were quite a few couples on the evening charter train tonight which was a celebration of forty years of marriage for two railway friends. J & D have a caravan on the same pitch as my parents first two vans at Rhydyronen so we have more in common than the railway! I was running the cafe which was mostly setting up and cleaning up. The weather was rather grim but a keg of ale and some prosecco kept people cheerful and they polished off pretty much all of the buffet.
The guard of the train is a very good friend, her husband is the fireman, another happy railway couple. Their daughter, Erica, usually features here on her birthday in August. She's a very special little girl.
Otherwise, pottery this morning and a health centre appointment for Jamie which was very delayed because the GP lost her keys while visiting patients at home ... patients who live in the same group pf flats as Jamie does!!
