Bridge under the bridge

US routes 1 and 301 cross the James River in downtown Richmond, Virginia, one of numerous large cities on the Fall Line. Spectacular views of the rapids just west of downtown draw a lot of visitors. A pedestrian footbridge enables walkers and bikers to safely enjoy the views while automobile traffic buzzes by overhead.
