Miserable day from beginning to end

Woke up at 4am (as I often do). Got up and walked round. Thought I could smell smoke. Noticed I'd forgotten to charge my mobile. Then spotted a message from my neighbours sent at 2am asking if I could smell burning!

No obvious signs. So assumed it was a fire on heathland. Went back to bed

In the morning find there's been another cliff fire close by and several beach-huts burnt down. Luckily the goat enclosure was empty. The last big fire, a few metres over, was 3 weeks ago.

Tidied up. Then we drove to Canford Cliffs for an Aspall at The Canford (blipped).

Still raining.
