Stepping stones…

were very exposed, more stones than burn ,despite the few sharp showers yesterday and today. However, they have made everything look very green and softened the ground a little.From here the walk climbs up the waterfall through the wood and again not much water falling! The approach is through high fields where it was quite windy, but then descends steeply on a grassy shelf that was sheltered and very hot and sunny! Full of birds and Wood Ants.
