Emerging

After the prolonged dry spell we were not actually expecting to see any orchids on our annual "orchid walk" on Scout Scar. The early purples  had shriveled up in the sun .  Delighted to find that  a week of showers has made a few of the more exotic ones start to appear.
On the left a Butterfly and on the right a Fly,, are starting to emerge from their buds.
If we had scheduled the walk for next week these little treasures would have been looking more resplendent.
