Keeping A Low Profile For Foxy Bingo

Rather remarkably we were actually taken out for lunch today by another family member - this happens much more infrequently than once in a blue moon - which considering we do 99.99% (I'm only slightly exaggerating!) of the all the cooking and buying of food in our household shouldn't really be that much to occasionally ask. It was only a shared pizza and some chips but we weren't about to look a gift lunch in the mouth!
After being somewhat bamboozled by such a rare occurrence I'd completely forgotten to get an image until one of the foxes that have been visiting our garden over the past couple of weeks made a fortuitous appearance looking for an evening snack.
We seem to be visited by at least one of our vulpine friends nearly every year at this time and as I may have mentioned in some past blips we always give them the same name, Foxy Bingo (although they are quite unlikely to be the same animal(s) as the year before). This year we have been very lucky to catch sight of two at the same time - one with a thin wiry tail and the other with a luxuriantly bushy tail.
Today's furry guest was Bushy Tail Foxy Bingo who, despite being very timid, was more than happy to devour several slices of ham. I had to get my image using my telephoto lens as if I got too close it would disappear into the most unkempt part of our garden (nicknamed, not inaccurately, "The Jungle"). I wasn't getting a shot that I was particularly happy with until I kept more of a low profile by crouching down behind some foliage and then it suddenly turned its head and I was able to capture it's portrait in profile. I really do feel very privileged to be able to see these beautiful creatures so close at hand.
