Chasing Chasers
This is a backblip, yesterday's intended blip from High Pike was mangled by squally winds and rain like needles which meant I barely looked out from my waterproof hood much less attempted to get the camera out.
We joined the Cumbria Wildlife Trust, having visited many of their sites freely it seemed the right thing to do to make our contribution to the cause.
On Friday I visited their site at Bowness on Solway, its an old industrial site, some sort of mining I guess.. Scrub, woodland and numerous ponds. It was alive with Damsels and Dragonflies - thousands!
I identified a couple of favourite perches and then just waited for a dragon to pop by. I was practicing with my fully manual TT Artisan 100mm f/2.8 having found out after over a year of owning the Sony A6700 that it can do focus magnifying in liveview which I have assigned to a custom button, very helpful when trying to confirm focus in manual operation.
Anyway, this was my favourite effort of the day, a Four Spotted Chaser.
