Young ducks

I went to get photos of the cygnets, I’d seen them on my way through the park heading for home from my London weekend yesterday. Been checking on them regularly for some weeks.  Very excited. There were 4 of them sitting in the nest with their mother (or father). However, no sign of them and mother still on the nest. I fear they have not survived the night. Hoping I’m wrong but popped by again in the early evening after seeing the latest Mission Impossible film (enjoyed it) and no sign. There were plenty of young ducks from babies to these juveniles in the pond though.
